This is a one of a kind bracelet featuring a very rare antique quartz crystal bead. It was mined and shaped in India and then traded in North Africa and the Near East. It was most likely found in an excavation site in Djenne, Mali and dates back before the 1500’s. It has a wonderful peach patina, very rustic. The other strand has an ornate Berber bead focal. Each focal is flanked by sterling silver love knot beads.
The bracelet is mostly composed of round crazy lace agate beads in the most beautiful shades of pale peach, and burnt orange with swirls of grey. They have been paired with rare hand carved ancient carnelian discs over a 1000 years old, an antique agate bead and Tuareg metal bicone beads handmade in Mali.
The closure is a Kuchi button. This fits through a loop of taupe leather cord, which is knotted onto a Karen Hill Tribe fine silver link. Knotted onto the leather ends are conch shell Mala beads flanked by fine silver ring beads. Hanging from the link is a beautiful artisan pewter charm with a leaf pattern from a Japanese crest. It is a lucky leaf, which is said to bring good fortune, love and prosperity. Accompanying this is a Kuchi charm and a small antique quartz crystal dangle.
This fits a 6.5” wrist.
